We stayed at a great Airbnb on a high floor right next to la fuente de cibeles. In the neighborhood we saw the well-behaved perros at Parque España and had a seafood lunch at Contramar.
We rode over to Coyoacan and visited the Frida Kahlo Museum, where Kahlo was born, lived for many years, and died. Afterward we stopped for tostadas at Mercado de Coyoacan and then had lunch at San Ángel Inn. Finally we went to the Diego Rivera Casa Estudio museum, the house and studio where Rivera and Kahlo lived for many years.
On day three we took a morning walking tour around el centro. After lunch we headed to Bosque de Chapultepec to see el Museo Nacional de Antropología.
We visited the pyramids once more to make sure everyone got a chance to see the incredible Teotuhuacan. We beat most of the crowds and the heat and made friends with a stray at the top of the Pyramid of the Sun.
The last evening we bought tickets to lucha libre at Arena México and sat first row. The main event was a trio match of Caristico, Volador Jr. y Diamante Azul vs El Terrible, Negro Casas y Shocker. It was an extremely entertaining night of flying wrestlers and Mexican insults. Afterward we stopped at La Casa de Toño for pozole.
